ERRATUM

In the published article “Comparative Chemical and Spectroscopic Characterization of Cork from Quercus variabilis and Quercus suber of Different Geographic Origins. Journal of the Korean Wood Science and Technology 54(2): 164-179. https://doi.org/10.5658/WOOD.2026.54.2.164,” the chemical composition data in Table 1 were incorrectly assigned across provenances (Kim, 2026).

Specifically, the value for Quercus variabilis (Republic of Korea) and Quercus suber (Portugal) were transposed, as were the values for Q. variabilis (China) and Q. suber (Italy). As a result, several statements in the Results and Discussion section that refer to Table 1 also require correction.

In addition, as “SB” already denotes a fraction, the term ‘SB fraction’ has been simplified to “SB” throughout the manuscript.

The authors sincerely apologize for these errors and confirm that the conclusions of the study are not affected by these corrections.
